The Spotlight is a webzine that was started almost two years ago. It's run by me, Erica. I live in New York City and cover shows in the tri state area, mostly. I take photos, write live show reviews, cd reviews and also do interviews with bands. I am a Sagittarius, I take my horoscope very seriously. I will give any band a chance once but I'll know right away if I like (or don't like) what I'm hearing. Meeting new people is my favorite activity. Warped Tour was amazing, I did more interviews in two days than I have since I started this webzine. Favorite venue: It's a toss up between the Knitting Factory and Irving although getting max capped out of the actual room and having to watch from the hallway kind of sucks. Plus I don't like having to walk up and down a flight of steps. I'm a lazy New Yorker. Favorite band: I'm really into Cute Is What We Aim For. But, you knew that...didn't you? I've used 'I' a lot in this, its narcissistic, right? Yeah. I'll stop. No wonder these kinds of things are usually written in third person. I love you all!! Read The Spotlight, I update it every other Tuesday (well as soon as I'm done with Warped stuff, I had a bit of a set back which has delayed my Warped coverage.) But soon we'll be back to the original format. Every other Tuesday (aka new music Tuesday) look for something new in The Spotlight!
